From Spring 2023 to Fall 2023, SF Planning hosted a range of community
engagement activities, ranging from broader events like open houses, to
more targeted events, like focus groups and community conversations. The
The department partnered with community-based organizations on many of these
events to target participation from people more likely to face housing
insecurity, such as renters, seniors, youth, non-English speakers, and
others.

*What Comes Next*
SF Planning is preparing to submit a final draft zoning scenario in early
2024, for consideration by policymakers soon thereafter. During the policy
adoption process, people will have the opportunity to provide comments on
the proposal at public hearings.
